A poncho or reusable raincoat is a must have to keep in your backpack, not only for rainy weather but also for those of you that don’t want to walk around all day soaked from going on rides like Tiana’s Bayou adventure or the Kali river rapids (spare socks and even shoes are a good idea too) You can buy them in the parks however, you will find them much cheaper if you purchase them beforehand and take them with you.
I have put some links below to which I think are the best.
Yes, going to disney is family fun, rides, snacks and Mickey Mouse. However, you will find yourself needing your mobile device more than ever from booking your next lightning lane to taking that all important family photo in front of the castle, it is essential your phone battery is kept charged at all times.
This power bank from Anker is perfect for carrying around the parks with you:
My Babiie MBX5 Ultra Compact Stroller
This Ultra lightweight stroller is perfect for travelling with small children, it folds up small enough to be taken on the plane as a carry on and even comes with a handy travel bag to assist with this.
Taking it on the plane means no waiting around at baggage claim and also after a long flight your child can go straight in it off the flight, no more carrying them through the airport.
Taking it into disney is the perfect travel companion for your little ones – the sun shade is perfect for keeping them cool in the sun, its lightweight for pushing around all day and the fact it folds up small means you can take it in to restaurants and store it under the table rather than leaving it outside in the stroller parking.
With the summer heat now upon us, it is essential that you keep as cool as possible when out and about visiting a Disney Park – making the most of the air conditioned shops and restaurants is a top tip as well as keeping hydrated.
However, there will be times when waiting for parades or queuing for your next ride that the heat will take its toll.
For these times get yourself a cooling towel they really are effective and a must for your disney trip to help you stay cool.
Buying water in the Disney Parks can be expensive ….
If you get yourself a reusable collapsible water bottle you can refill it with water at any quick service restaurant that has a fountain drinks machine or at water fountains located around the park ( normally near the restrooms ).
When you have finished simply collapse the bottle back down and put it back in your bag / rucksack.
Compeed Mixed Size Blister Plasters
Going to Disney means lots of steps that your feet might not be used to doing (avg 20,000 – 25,000 per day). A worn in comfy pair of shoes is always recommended.
As well as comfy shoes, I would highly recommend that you carry with you in your bag some compeed blister plasters, the ones linked above is a pack of various sizes (heels, toes, little feet, big feet) and will do the trick should any blisters appear!
These are perfect for drying off after water rides or after getting caught in a florida rain storms.
A completely optional extra, but definitely something I like to take with me.
Yes you can buy them in the parks, resorts and disney springs – however, you will find many more designs and matching purses if you buy yours ahead of time and take it with you.
