First things first: booking your travel. To get the best deals, it’s always smart to book your flights and hotels well in advance.  Aim for flights that allow you to arrive the night before your first meeting to avoid the stress of same-day travel especially should there be any unexpected delays.

  • Comfortable yet professional shoes

  •  Have separate toiletries – nobody wanted to be packing and unpacking their toiletries on a sometimes weekly basis. I have a toiletry bag which stays in my carry-on bag with duplicate items to what I use at home.

Keep all your travel documents in one place.

  •  A handy travel wallet can store your passport, boarding passes, hotel confirmations, and any other necessary documents. – I have this one from Looxmeer.
  • Digital backups on your phone or cloud storage are also a good idea.
  • Have your itinerary clearly laid out, with all addresses and contact numbers at your fingertips.

Navigating the airport for speed and efficiency

  • Check-In and Security – To save time, check-in online and use mobile boarding passes. Try on only take Carry-on luggage this will save you time by not having to check and drop your bags – as well as not having to collect them at the carrousel on arrival.
  • Lounge Access – Airport lounges are a godsend for business travelers. They offer a quiet place to work, free Wi-Fi, snacks, and sometimes even showers. Many credit cards offer complimentary lounge access, so check if your card provides this perk if not you can book lounges either direct with the airport or through sites like Holiday Extras.

In-Flight Tips: Making the Most of Your Time

  • Choosing the Right Seat – If you’re working during the flight, opt for a window seat to avoid interruptions from fellow passengers. For long-haul flights, consider upgrading to business or first class for added comfort and amenities that can make a huge difference in your productivity and overall experience.
